Alat tangkap bottom gill net merupakan salah satu jenis alat tangkap yang
digunakan oleh nelayan di Kabupaten Cilacap. Alat tangkap dengan nama lokal
jaring sirang atau jaring bawal digunakan untuk menangkap ikan demersal karena
pengoperasiannya di dasar dengan hasil tangkapan utama ikan bawal putih
(Pampus argenteus). Analisis finansial usaha penangkapan bottom gill net
dilakukan agar dapat mengetahui usaha perikanan yang menguntungkan sehingga
dapat dijalankan secara berkelanjutan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui
aspek teknis, aspek ekonomi dan aspek finansial usaha perikanan bottom gill net
di Kabupaten Cilacap. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah deskriptif
bersifat studi kasus, metode pengambilan sampel menggunakan snowball
sampling dengan jumlah responden 100 pemilik perahu. Data yang digunakan
untuk penelitian ini meliputi data produksi dan nilai produksi, alat tangkap dan
jumlah nelayan selama lima tahun. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara,
observasi dan dokumentasi untuk mengetahui aspek teknis, aspek ekonomi dan
aspek finansial. Analisis data yang digunakan Net Present Value (NPV), Internal
Rate Return (IRR), Benefit Cost Ratio (B/C Ratio), dan Payback Period (PP).
Hasil dari penelitian diketahui bahwa armada yang digunakan yaitu perahu fiber
1-2 GT dengan tenaga mesin 15-18 PK. Konstruksi alat tangkap bottom gill net
terdiri dari pelampung, tali pelampung, tali ris atas, tubuh jaring, tali ris bawah,
tali pemberat dan pemberat. Rata-rata modal investasi yang dibutuhkan Rp.
58.725.000, pendapatan yang dihasilkan Rp. 149.239.690 per tahun, keuntungan
Rp. 31.221.758 per tahun. Nilai NPV Rp. 146.220.302, IRR 80%, B/C ratio
sebesar 1,1 dan PP 2 tahun 4 bulan 10 hari. Berdasarkan hasil yang didapatkan
tersebut usaha perikanan tangkap bottom gill net di Kabupaten Cilacap layak
untuk dilanjutkan.

Bottom gill net is one type of fishing gear used by fishermen in Cilacap
Regency. The fishing gear with the local name sirang net or pomfret net is used to
catch demersal fish because its operation is based on the main catch of white
pomfret (Pampus argenteus). Financial analysis of bottom gill net fishing
business is carried out in order to find out profitable fisheries businesses so that
they can be carried out in a sustainable manner. The purpose of this study is to
determine the technical aspects, economic aspects and financial aspects of the
bottom gill net fisheries business in Cilacap Regency. The method used in the
research was a case study, a sampling method using the purposive sampling with
a total of 100 boat owners. The data used for this study included data on
production and production value, fishing gear and the total of fishermen for five
years. Primary data are obtained from the results of interviews, observations and
documentation to find out the technical aspects, economic aspects and financial
aspects. Data analysis used net present value (NPV), internal rate
return (IRR), benefit cost ratio (B/C ratio), and payback period (PP). The results
of the study are known that the fleet used is a 1-2 GT fiber boat with an engine
power of 15-18 PK. The construction of the bottom gill net fishing gear consists
of floats, float lines, upper ris lines, net bodies, lower ris lines, sinker lines and
sinkers. The average investment capital required is Rp. 58,725,000, the income
generated is Rp. 149,239,690 per year, profit Rp. 31,221,758 per year. NPV
value Rp. 146,220,302, IRR 80%, B/C ratio of 1.1 and PP 2 years 4 months 10
days. Based on the results obtained, the bottom gill net capture fishery business in
Cilacap Regency deserves to be continued.
