Abstract

RINGKASAN
Muhammad Altyro Agioseka Yodika. 26040118130122. Suplementasi Alginat
(Sargassum sp.) dan Spirulina Untuk Peningkatan Ketahanan Non Spesifik
Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) Secara Seluler (Ervia Yudiati dan
Munasik)
Masalah penyakit adalah penyebab paling utama dalam kegagalan dalam
produksi udang Vannamei. Budidaya udang Vannamei dalam melakukan
pencegahan dan pengobatan penyakit sering kali dilakukan penambahan senyawa
antibiotik. Senyawa antibiotik digunakan untuk meningkatkan sistem pertahanan
tubuh udang melalui penggunaan imunostimulan dari Alginat (Sargassum sp.) dan
Spirulina. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan Alginat
dan/atau Spirulina secara oral terhadap respon imun seluler yaitu Total Hemocyte
Count (THC), Indeks Fagositosis (IF) dan Aktivitas Fagositosis (AF) pada
Litopenaeus vannamei.
Metode analisis parameter seluler Litopenaeus vannamei berupa aktivitas
THC, AF, dan IF dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Gedung H, Fakultas Perikanan
dan Ilmu Kelautan, Universitas Diponegoro, Semarang. Parameter tersebut
dilakukan analisis data untuk mengetahui pakan terbaik dari perlakuan Alginat
dan/atau Spirulina dengan suplementasi selama 12 hari.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan udang dengan waktu pemeliharaan selama 4
hari hingga 12 hari menunjukkan peningkatan rata rata aktivitas THC terbesar
secara berurutan terjadi pada perlakuan Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg (81,3%) dan Spiru
5 mg/kg (66%). Rata rata analisis aktivitas fagositosis selama masa pemeliharaan 4
hari hingga 12 hari terbesar secara berurutan terjadi pada perlakuan Alg 3g+Spiru
5 mg/kg (17,8%) dan Alg 3g (7,8%). Dan rata rata analisis indeks fagositosis selama
masa pemeliharaan 4 hari hingga 12 hari terbesar secara berurutan terjadi pada
perlakuan Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg (10%) dan Spiru 5 mg/kg (5%). Secara
keseluruhan perlakuan suplementasi Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg pada pakan udang
menunjukkan hasil terbaik dalam peningkatan respon imun non-spesifik udang.

Alginate and Spirulina Extract in Feed towards Cellular Non-Specific Immunity of
Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone, 1931) (Ervia Yudiati and Munasik)
Disease problems are the main cause of failure in Vannamei shrimp
production. Vannamei shrimp culture in preventing and treating disease is
often done with the addition of antibiotic compounds. These compounds are
used to improve the shrimp defense system through the use of
immunostimulants from Alginate (Sargassum sp.) and Spirulina. This result
aims to determine the effect of oral supplementation of Alginate and/or
Spirulina on the diet towards cellular immune response Total Hemocyte
Count (THC), Phagocytic Index (AF) and Phagocytic Activity (AF) in
Litopenaeus vannamei.
The analysis method of Litopenaeus vannamei cellular parameters in the
form of THC, AF, and IF activities was carried out at the Biology Laboratory
of Building H, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Diponegoro
University, Semarang. These parameters were analyzed quantitatively to
determine the best feed from Alginate and/or Spirulina extract treatment
with supplementation for 12 days.
The results showed that shrimp with rearing time of 4 days to 12 days
showed the highest average increase in THC activity, respectively, in the Alg
3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg (81.3%) and Spiru 5 mg/kg (66%). The highest average
analysis of phagocytic activity during the 4-day to 12-day rearing period,
respectively, occurred in the treatment of Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg (17.8%) and
Alg 3g (7.8%). And the highest average analysis of the phagocytic index
during the 4-day to 12- day rearing period, respectively, occurred in the
treatment of Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg (10%) and Spiru 5 mg/kg (5%). Overall
treatment of Alg 3g+Spiru 5 mg/kg supplementation in shrimp feed showed
the best results in increasing the non- specific immune response of shrimp.
