Abstract

The Binan language is a variety of languages spoken by the gay and transgender community
in particular, in the city of Semarang. The Binanese language is spoken in informal situations,
such as everyday conversation or the language of young people. Therefore, the writer wants
to know the influence of the built language outside the gay and transgender community. The
data in this qualitative descriptive study are Binan language vocabulary which is used as a
means of communication among waria, especially in the Perwaris community of Semarang.
The data sources in this study are divided into two types, namely, primary data sources in the
form of interviews with research informants and secondary data in the form of Binan
language dictionaries, and related important files. Data collection techniques were carried out
by interviewing informants using listening techniques and field observations using listening
techniques, note-taking techniques and recording techniques. The data obtained were then
analyzed using the match method, the results of the analysis were presented formally in the
form of an explanation of the description using standard language, and presented informally
in the form of a table of informants' identities and interview transcripts. From the results of
this study, 80 Binan language sentences were found with vocabulary forms, namely 7
sentences of si- form, 8 sentences of -ong form, 2 sentences of -es form, 3 sentences of -in
form, 1 form of –se. sentences, and the form of manasuka as many as 59 sentences. The
analysis of word formation in Binan is accompanied by meanings related to communication
between Binan speakers. He also explained the social influence of the Binan language as a
means of communication within the transgender community and outside the transgender
community.
