Abstract

ABSTRAK
Latar Belakang: Akne Vulgaris (AV) adalah inflamasi kronik pada unit pilosebasea yang terjadi pada remaja dan dewasa. Patogenesis AV dapat berupa hiperploriferasi folikular epidermal, sebum yang berlebih, dan kolonisasi bakteri. Banyak faktor dari AV seperti usia, riwayat keluarga, makanan, kebersihan wajah, penggunaan kosmetik, kualitas tidur, dan juga stres. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara faktor risiko terhadap kejadian Akne Vulgaris pada mahasiswa Universitas Diponegoro. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan rancangan case control dengan faktor risiko berupa riwayat keluarga, stres, kebersihan wajah, kosmetik, dan kualitas tidur terhadap kejadian AV wajah. Pengambilan sampel memakai teknik consecutive sampling. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Agustus–September 2022 Sampel merupakan mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro Angkatan 2019, 2020, 2021. Jumlah responden penelitian sebanyak 102 responden dan data diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 26 dengan analisis bivariat dengan uji chi-square dan analisis multivariat dengan uji regresi logistik. Hasil: Didapatkan hubungan bermakna antara riwayat keluarga menderita AV (p= 0,001; OR= 6,98; IK= 2,14-22,7), kebersihan wajah buruk (p= 0,001; OR= 5,69; IK= 2,00-16,1), penggunaan kosmetik tinggi (p= 0,003; OR= 10,8; IK= 2,19-53,2), dan tingkat stres tinggi (p= 0,022; OR= 8,16; IK= 1,34-49,6). Kesimpulan: Faktor risiko yang bermakna pada kejadian AV mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro adalah riwayat keluarga, kebersihan wajah, penggunaan kosmetik, dan stres.

ABSTRACT
Background: Acne Vulgaris (AV) is a chronic inflammatory condition of pilosebaceous unit that often affects adolescent and adult. Hyperproliferation of pilosebaceous epidermal follicular, excess sebum production, bacterial colonization are the pathogenesis of Acne. There are many risk factors that can cause acne such as age, family historical, diet, facial hygiene, use of cosmetics, sleep quality, and stress.
Objective: To determine the relationship between risk factors and the incidence of acne vulgaris in the students of Medical Faculty, Diponegoro University.
Methods: This type of research is analytic observational with case control design with family historical, stress, facial hygiene, cosmetics, and sleep quality as the risk factors to influence of acne. This research was held on August-September 2022. The population of this research is all the students of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University class of 2019, 2020, 2021 selected by consecutive sampling. There are 102 respondent in this research and the data was processed using the 26th version of SPSS with chi-square test for the bivariate analysis and logistic regression test for the multivariate analysis.
Results: The results of statistical tests (CI= 95%) obtained significant relationship between the risk factors such as family with acne historical (p= 0,001; OR= 6,98; CI= 2,14-22,7), poor facial hygiene (p= 0,001; OR= 5,69; CI= 2,00-16,1), high frequent use of cosmetic (p= 0,003; OR= 10,8; CI= 2,19-53,2), and high stress (p= 0,022; OR= 8,16; CI=1,34-49,6).
Conclusion: Risk factors with significant relationship to case of acne in medical student of the Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University are family historical, facial hygiene, use of cosmetics and stress.
